Parenting Skills

The Center offers numerous workshops, trainings and groups to provide parents with skills on many levels of parenting, from the basics, to handling more difficult behaviors. The Center recently developed a program based on community need that has been very well received.

PHD Parenting (Positive Help for Difficult Behaviors)

This is an advanced program that teaches effective skills, and strategies to improve compliance, positive behaviors and a more stress-free family atmosphere. The Union City Area School District and the local District Justice both endorsed this project and are utilizing it as part of a Truancy Prevention Initiative.

The Center also offers 123 Magic, STEP and other effective parenting programs.
